BULK RAW MATERIALS
Bulk Peptide Raw Materials Sourcing Guide
Bulk peptide procurement should be handled separately from finished-vial wholesale orders because the quantity basis, packaging, analytical documents and downstream project requirements are different.
Define the raw-material identity and quantity basis
State the exact peptide or material name, requested quantity and any identity details needed for your project. For larger procurement, distinguish milligram-, gram- and kilogram-scale requirements clearly.
Review the COA beyond a single purity number
Check product identity, batch or lot number, analytical method, purity result, peptide content or assay basis when available, report date and issuing organization. A high HPLC purity result does not by itself describe total peptide content.
Confirm packaging and storage requirements
Bulk raw materials may be supplied in sealed containers rather than finished vials. Ask about container format, labeling, moisture protection and the storage statement connected to the material.
Keep raw material and finished-product testing separate
A report for bulk raw material should not automatically be presented as a finished-vial content result. The tested sample and the quoted supply format should be identified separately.
Build a repeat-order specification
For recurring procurement, record the agreed product identity, quantity range, packaging format, documentation requirements and destination. This creates a consistent basis for future quotations and batch review.
