Overview & mechanism

The selected CJC-1295 studies concern a long-acting growth-hormone-releasing-hormone analogue with an albumin-binding design. Early animal work examined receptor activity and prolonged action; subsequent human studies measured GH and IGF-I responses. Those endpoints describe endocrine activity, not proven longevity or muscle-performance benefits. [1] [2]

Selected research

These study summaries preserve the type of evidence and the question being tested. They are a curated starting point, not a systematic review of every publication.

2005 · Albumin-bioconjugate research

Preclinical receptor and activity experiments

Researchers investigated albumin-linked GRF analogues and identified CJC-1295 as a long-acting candidate. [1]

Interpretation limit: The tested construct must be matched before drawing conclusions about another analogue.

2006 · Early placebo-controlled human studies

Healthy adults; two ascending-dose studies lasting 28 and 49 days

The report found sustained GH and IGF-I increases after the studied CJC-1295 intervention. [2]

Interpretation limit: Short-term hormone measurements do not demonstrate long-term clinical benefit or validate without-DAC products.

Why does the DAC distinction matter when comparing evidence?

A chemical modification can change exposure and duration of action. If a product omits the modification studied in a paper, it is not sound to copy that paper's pharmacokinetic claims onto the product. Compare exact structures and analytical specifications before interpreting a shared abbreviation. Do not infer that a longer biological effect is necessarily better for an experimental objective.

A practical reading checklist

  1. Identify the model: cell culture, animal experiment or human study.
  2. Name the comparator: placebo, another intervention or an untreated control.
  3. Record the endpoint: what changed, how it was measured and at which time point.
  4. Read uncertainty: consider sample size, missing observations and confidence intervals, not only a headline percentage.
  5. Keep the conclusion within scope: a mechanism, an analytical result and a clinical outcome are not interchangeable.

Material identity before comparison

Request a specification that explicitly addresses the DAC-related modification, sequence and chemical form. A certificate saying only CJC-1295 may not resolve the identity question. Do not use a with-DAC report to document a without-DAC order, or a single-compound report to characterize an ipamorelin blend. Match the intended structure first and then assess the lot-specific analytical data.

Batch quality & COA

Read a report as a set of measurements on an identified sample. First match the product, lot, sample identifier and test date; then ask what each measurement actually establishes.

Different measurements answer different questions
RecordQuestion it addressesWhat to avoid assuming
Identity and chemical formIs the tested material consistent with the intended molecule?A shared catalogue name establishes identical structure.
Chromatographic purityWhat proportion of the measured signal is assigned to the main component under this method? The percentage proves mass per vial, sterility or biological potency.
Content / assayHow much analyte was measured, using the stated method and reference? The printed vial amount is itself an assay result.
Additional testsWere relevant attributes, such as endotoxin, measured separately? An unlisted test was performed or passed.
Lot and sample traceabilityDoes this document match the material under review?A report for an earlier batch covers the next shipment.

Retain the original report and its verification route. Record missing information as unknown rather than filling it in from a similar product. Read the COA verification guide.

Handling & research records

Use the handling instructions and safety documentation supplied for the exact material, presentation and lot. Do not copy a storage temperature or shelf life from a different formulation. Document receipt date, labelled storage requirements, container condition and any deviation for review under your laboratory's procedures.

Keep preparation records with the experimental dataset so that later results can be traced to a specific material. Appearance alone is not a stability measurement. If storage or shipping conditions are uncertain, request supporting information before treating the sample as suitable for the intended experiment. Explore storage documentation.

Common questions

Can with-DAC study results be copied to without-DAC products?

Not without evidence that the tested structure and exposure are applicable. The name alone is insufficient.

Does a rise in IGF-I prove a clinical benefit?

No. It is an endocrine endpoint; clinical benefits and risks require their own assessment.

Are CJC-1295/ipamorelin combinations covered by these studies?

The cited studies do not establish the efficacy or safety of arbitrary combination products.

Does a research report establish safety for personal use?

No. Analytical quality, an experimental observation and clinical safety are different questions. This guide does not prescribe treatment or establish that research supplies are appropriate for human or veterinary use.
